The trauma of the Holocaust casts a shadow on the lives of a group of survivors. The onset of a snowstorm on a couple’s wedding day triggers fears and bad memories among family members and guests. Old grudges arise and everybody argues. However, it affords the mother of the groom the opportunity to tell her side of a story: her son believes she abandoned him during the war, but she tells him what truly happened, and the couple finally marry.
